You are a savvy shopper and like to get rewarded for your purchases. That’s why you’ve chosen some type of credit card that pays you back. You either have a cash back rewards card, an air miles rewards card, or a "rewards" rewards card. An additional perk of certain credit cards is the concierge service. Essentially, this service acts as a personal assistant and handles individual requests, such as booking hotels, making transportation arrangements, and even luggage assistance at the airport.

Concierge services are even known for doing difficult tasks, such as booking a table at a seemly sold-out Michelin-starred restaurant or locating a rare gift for your niece. This is an exclusive but little-used card benefit that may come with your credit, and for free! Here’s our list of the best credit cards with complimentary concierge services.

Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

Although these perks are advertised as complimentary, some cards have annual fees. At times, the rewards, such as air miles or cash back, outweigh the costs. Furthermore, some cards also offer additional benefits, such as access to airport lounges, travel insurance, and special dining discounts.

It is also worth noting, that if you use the concierge service to locate or purchase something, such as a gift, they may not always find exactly what you are looking for or the item tends to be more expensive than what you could probably have found on your own. You are essentially relying on others to perform tasks that you can do yourself. As a result, you may not always get the best deal financially. These services can save you time, but you give up some control over the process.

Concierge services are best for people where time is precious, such as an overwhelmed traveler or a business person. Consumers who have time and are specific in what they are looking for may not be completely satisfied with this service. However, in my opinion, if my card rewards me for flight purchase, allows me to relax at an exclusive airport lounge before my flight, protects me while I am traveling, and makes all my travel arrangements for free, then sign me up!
