Can anybody confirm the tax year-end in Singapore?

Most definitely the 31st December every year. The Singapore tax year runs specifically from 1st January to 31st December annually. The tax charged for a particular Year of Assessment (“YA”) is based on income accrued and derived in the calendar year preceding that YA.
