What are Key Employment Terms and contract of service?

This is my first time applying for a job and I recently got hired. I've heard that the employers need to provide me with a contract of service and the key terms. I understand that the contract is to establish the employer's relationship with the employee in terms of service and the key are also needed but what are the scopes of these and how and when are these given to the employee?

A contract of service is an agreement in which one person agrees to employ another as an employee and the other person agrees to serve the employer as an employee. It can be in writing, verbal, expressed or implied but to minimize misunderstandings and disputes, the contract should be in writing. All employees under the Employment Act should recieve the key employment terms in writing. Employees should also recieve the KET within 14 days from the start of work.
