The range of partner merchants isn’t that extensive

If you’re a serial Grab commuter, you might already have used GrabPay.They also have a number of partner merchants who accept payment using the GrabPay app.You have to top up your GrabPay account in order to use it anyway and honestly, the range of partner merchants isn’t that great and is mostly limited to small neighbourhood businesses. If you’re serious about using an e-wallet for most of your transactions, you will definitely need to download another e-wallet app for day-to-day use.

Am I correct to believe that online transactions are part of the eligible local spend for the DBS Altitude card?

I hope my answer gets to shed more light on your question even as it brief and very to the point. Yes! Online transactions are eligible local spend and will net you DBS points. Basically all transactions to the card will give you points, other than excluded transactions particularly quoted in their T&Cs.

Does the UOB Krisflyer Credit Card actually award bonus miles for GrabPay top-ups?

So far UOB has been awarding me miles for direct Grab transactions however for miles card, top-ups normally do not get rewarded. For example topping up of cash card, Ez-link card and so on. But by and large, KrisFlyer miles will not be awarded for NETS and NETS-related transactions, 0% instalments Payment Plans, SmartPay, personal loan, balance/funds transfers, cash advances, fees, interests, finance charges, late payment charges, annual fee charges, reversals, transactions relating to top-ups of any pre-paid card and brokerage / securities, any gambling related transactions, any trading transactions (including but not limited to websites for trading of shares and cryptocurrency), other financial charges and any other transactions we may exclude from time to time without prior notice.
