My friend came from a country whos education is not that advance

My friend riku is a foreigner and is studying here in Singapore as a highschool student. Where he came from, they are not as advance as Singapore, the schools that he researched and went to, do not use books anymore but uses gadgets as a substitute for books. Now he is confused if it is neccesary to use gadgets while studying.

In these times, we are experiencing global warming. We cut a lot of trees and harming the environment. Almost every year we are learning new things and the authors of books publish new things to be shared. Now that we are in modern society, we have gadgets that help us learning. Some schools in Singapore offers online education and uses the latest technologies to cope up with the modern society.
