Hello everyone! Which travel insurance can you recommend for a businessman who travels abroad frequently for business engagements, considering prices and benefits?

These days I make foreign trips a lot and am searching for the best deal with travel insurance. I hear friends mention MSIG TravelEasy frequently, should I go for it?

    No Name

Just like you my husband travels overseas very frequently for work so we decided to buy travel insurance for him as his company does not provide insurance for its staffs. Before we made a decision we compared many and arrived at MSIG because of its competitive price and the 50% discount when applying online. Plus we got to increase our limits for Terrorism Cover and emergency medical evacuation cover from $500,000 to $1,000,000 for the Standard Plan. I must add it is easy to purchase online with a simple and straightforward application process.

Poor and upleasant hotline

I am a fresh graduate and just started my first job, I signed up for this card due to the onetime $150 cash back reward for $800 spend within the first two months. However for its main monthly rewards, it is nothing to be pleasant about and the hotline is very bad, I even had to hold more than 20 minutes during non-peak hour.

OCBC Frank Card offers young adults a great, no-fee way to earn cashback from social and online spend

OCBC Frank Card stands out for its low minimum spend requirement and annual fee waiver however, it’s not a great match for consumers seeking everyday cashback. Online spend on utilities, recurring bills, and school and hospital payments are all not eligible for rebate. Dining, groceries, and other categories are also not rewarded. Ultimately, OCBC Frank Card offers young adults a great, no-fee way to earn cashback from social and online spend. OCBC Frank Card is definitely worth consideration.

Zero Travel Related Online Merchants

The Citi SMRT card is a pretty decent card for spending but they unfortunately exclude travel related online merchants. This to me is the downside of the card and may be a reason to get another card for travel websites.

Too bad it is not an unlimited cashback card

Unfortunately, the HSBC advance card is not an unlimited cashback card as they have a cap on the cashback per month, even for advance banking clients. Furthermore, if you are not an advance banking client, you would not get subsequent card fee waiver if you do not get to spend at least $12,000 in a year.
