What is the most effective strategy I can apply to reduce unnecessary spending and credit card debts in order to save money?

    Straight to the point, cancel your credit cards if you cannot control your spending. By so doing, you seize to spend beyond your means. Another strategy would be to track all your expenses to identify what you can cut down on or out completely. On a final note, curb your impulse buys and stop eating out in restaurants but do more cooking.
