Can a pension help me from being bankcrupt?
I am already retired from my profession which is a teacher so I invested my money to a business that could surely help support my daily financial need. Yet I am still afraid what if my business went bankcrupt, will my pension be able to subsidize my business to keep running. I want to support myself and not obliged my children of my needs and my wife's so I want to have my own solution to my own problem in case of some things that might happen.

Singapore's pension system is one of the oldest and most developed national schemes in Asia. The system rests predominantly on one pillar: the Central Provident Fund, which provides for most social security functions. The Supplementary Retirement Scheme, a voluntary private pension scheme without employer involvement that enjoys tax advantages, completes Singapore's pension landscape.
