What are the exemptions under flexible work schedule?
I want to apply for the flexible work schedule because my company is facing a downfall and I really need to cut costs and maximize my resources. I am only aware that I am exempted from the Employment act regarding overtime, leave and public holiday pay. Are there othere exemtions under the flexible work schedule?
Under flexible work schedule, you can be exempted from paying 1.5 times the hourly rate of pay for overtime work, 2 days’ salary for work done on a rest day at the employer’s request and an extra day’s salary for work on a public holiday. If you are approved, you can also compute weekly working hours over a longer period for overtime pay.and be exempted or pay a different rate from the prescribed rate for overtime, rest day or public holiday work.
