Poor Customer Service

I am quite very disappointed with this card as I have never received the vouchers for all the points I have accumulated so far. I have on several occasions made complaints via the phone and even in person, but all to no avail. I would not recommend this card to anyone for this reason, i have to say unfortunately.

Very impressed by the complimentary night stay I got after I made bookings for a five nights stay at a resort I spent my birthday at in Malaysia. The Citi SMRT card is a pretty decent card for spending but they unfortunately exclude travel related online merchants. This to me is the downside of the card and may be a reason to get another card for travel websites.

Unfortunately this is no more based on the new card agreement on their site, a whole bunch of transactions are now excluded from earning miles. Excluded transactions include any top-ups or payment of funds to payment service providers, prepaid cards and any prepaid accounts and also bill payments will also be excluded.

What would be your advice or feedback on Citibank's Debt Consolidation Plan?

Let me assumed that you already have debts thus I recommend you to go for DCP first; for few reasons. It works by consolidating all your existing bank debts into DCP whereby Citibank pays it off for you and now you owe them only. The interest rate is about 10%/annum, vs 24-30% credit card interests rate. This plan does not eradicate the root of the problem as you need to reflect on the causes of your debts, are they Lifestyle choices or circumstantial? DCP may give you a month of credits to use for emergency purposes but frankly you stand to build up debts again if you don't know what went wrong and how you can make wiser decisions.
