Hi there! I received my first salary working as a librarian in the community library. I was largely excited to be receiving my own money and not just pocket money. Unfortunately I spent it mostly for entertainment and fun things.

I think a lot will depend on the full story like why is the adult child still leaving with parents? Anyway if it was me I would handle it this way. Rather than charge rent from my child, I would allow him to live rent free but he has put aside the amount of money he would otherwise be paying for rent it into either a savings or a retirement account. This way in a few years he/she could have saved up enough money to become a home owner.

Since the store is not giving any refund although it was their fault, you can report it to the local trading standards department because it was part of a statutory right of a customer. You can send them an email and notify the shop about what you are about to do. That way, maybe they will do something about your ordered products.

Well this is not exactly a secret but I think the wildest thing I ever did was when under intoxication ordered a free drink for everyone in the club. I don’t want to say how much it cost me pay off the bill, it still hurts me even today thinking about it.
