What is the best way to compromise?

While travelling, I accidentally bumped into another car and things got out of hand when he started shouting and cursing at me. As a natural response, I got mad too and shouted. to him. Unexpectedly, there is a letter delivered to me saying that there is a case filed against me. I do not want to be hassled more so I am planning to do a private settlement which is compromising with the victim before the court gives its decision about the case.

Try talking with each other but first, make sure that you calmed down already or else you will just start a fight again. It is important to be the big person in the situation and admit that you are the wrong who is at fault. Talk about how much will be the damage because it will cost more money if the case goes to the court.
