Even as the OCBC Plus! Visa is not a cashback card, thus there is no cap, or "maximum" cash back, you get to still earn rebates in the form of cash rebates and LinkPoints by shopping at NTUC. However do note that there is a minimum spend of $500 in places outside NTUC before the full range of rebates and LinkPoints can be unlocked.

I would like to contribute here that OCBC does have an excellent customer service. In my personal experience their customer service was extremely helpful and able to resolve my queries and concerns almost immediately over the phone. So I would like to give them a thumbs up for the professional communication and speedy customer service experience.

It is a good thing that OCBC cards can obtain instant approval and can be used immediately when you apply via MyInfo and the OCBC Plus! Visa’s Principal card’s S$107 per annum is waived for the first year. To earn an annual fee waiver for your OCBC Plus! Visa Credit Card however, you must spend a minimum of at least S$2,500 in one year starting from the month after your OCBC Plus! Visa Credit Card was issued.

We shop at Fairprice occasionally and we try to use OCBC plus card for point’s accumulation as much as we can. When we are shopping we look out for member’s discounts for selected items. The supermarket also has promotions that allow us to accumulate link points and redeem cooking/ and culinary sets at competitive prices too. A must have for households who frequent Farirpice for their grocery needs.

This is a very good credit card with a zero annual fee so you don’t have to go through the hassle of annual fee waiver as there was no fee to begin with. Also, this card allows you to earn double points in Fairprice which is a fair deal for family groceries.

Most of the vendors accepting this card offer up to 12% rebates at FairPrice Stores, Unity and Warehouse Club and up to 8% rebate at FairPrice online with salary credit. If you are like me an HSBC Premier client and also a frequent traveller that can maximize the number of priority pass visits, limo and meet-and-assist services as well as your supplementary cardholders too, then this is the card for you. The reduced general mile earn rate is worth the trade-off for the unlimited priority pass memberships, as well as the high number of limo and meet-and-assist services that you can use.

The American Express Krisflyer Credit Card has an attractive sign up bonus and it is easy to use to accumulate on miles as no conversion into KF account is required, and monthly auto “sweeping” of miles help save in the conversion fee. I also have had good experiences with their customer care service as the call center service is absolutely awesome.

I would recommend the card for use by people who frequently purchase clothing and electronics and also in particular from known on online merchants like AliExpress, Amazon, Lazada, Shopee and Taobao. You get 10X points when you shop at retails for babies and children's wear, clothes, bags and shoes, department stores, electronics and gadgets; which cover almost all retails. Also the OCBC Reward is a $10 rebate for 3600 points which I think is fare.

The welcome bonus with this card is quite mouth-watering. Simply spend S$1,500 in the first 3 months to receive 24,000 Membership Rewards points. That you will find to be enough points to redeem for S$110 cash credit. Plus you can see the points add up with 100% bonus points on all spend in your first 3 months of Card Membership. I have been using this card now for 6 months and am yet to find reasons to complain.

OCBC Frank Card stands out for its low minimum spend requirement and annual fee waiver however, it’s not a great match for consumers seeking everyday cashback. Online spend on utilities, recurring bills, and school and hospital payments are all not eligible for rebate. Dining, groceries, and other categories are also not rewarded. Ultimately, OCBC Frank Card offers young adults a great, no-fee way to earn cashback from social and online spend. OCBC Frank Card is definitely worth consideration.

The Citi SMRT card is a pretty decent card for spending but they unfortunately exclude travel related online merchants. This to me is the downside of the card and may be a reason to get another card for travel websites.
