The 11 gazetted public holidays are New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year – first and second day, Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji, Good Friday, Labour Day, Vesak Day, National Day, Deepavali, Christmas Day.

Statutory and salary related claims should be filed within 1 year after the dispute arose if you are still employed by the company and within 6 months from your last day at work if you are no longer employed. If you are wrongfully dismissed while you are pregnant without being payed your maternity benefits then you should file it within 2 months from your confinement. For other wrongful dismissal claims, you must file it within 1 month from your last day at work.
