Can a foreign woman own a franchise business in Singapore without relocating?

I am a single mother of two children and I am looking to invest some money in Singapore and take up some opportunities but I can’t relocate myself nor my two kids because of our numerous commitments here at home.

Hi. Certainly you or any foreigner can own a business in Singapore without necessarily relocating. However, I believe there are two options you will need to take into consideration. You will need to appoint a contact in Singapore who is well trusted by you or in the absence of that, retain a resident nominee director service so as to fulfil the Singapore companies’ statutory requirement of a resident director. Best of luck!
