With your iPhone 8 or earlier versions, just make sure that your device is on before you enter the gate. It doesn't need to be connected to a network. This pulls up your default card. If this is not a MasterCard, then select your MasterCard. To change your default card go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay on your iPhone. Tap Default Card, then choose a MasterCard. As you approach a fare gate or board the bus, double-click the Home button with your device on the Lock screen. Rest your finger on Touch ID. You'll see Hold near the Reader on the screen. Within a minute, hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader at the transit gate. After a moment, you'll see done and a checkmark on the display. With your iPhone X or later versions just make sure that your device is on before you enter the gate. It doesn't need to be connected to a network. This pulls up your default card. If this is not a MasterCard, select your MasterCard now. To change your default card go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay on your iPhone. Tap Default Card, then choose a MasterCard. As you approach a fare gate or board the bus, double-click the side button. Glance at your iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone, XS Max, or iPhone XR to authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode. Hold the top of your iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, or iPhone XR near the contactless reader at the transit gate. After a moment, you'll see done and a checkmark on the display. If you wish to use your Apple Watch then double-click the side button, hold the display of your Apple Watch within an inch of the contactless reader, Wait until you feel a gentle tap, tap top part of iPhone with display facing customer to transact.

40,000 Membership Rewards points to refer a friends to the card

I like the idea that I can receive 40,000 Membership Rewards points when I get to successfully refer any of my friends to the card. Even more so as my friends can also receive 40,000 Membership Rewards points upon spend of S$5,000 in the first 3 months of their Card Membership. I think that is pretty much a win-win situation.

Earnings of 1.3 KrisFlyer miles for every S$1 spent locally

This card offers a few thrills if you are one for accumulating miles as you can earn 1.3 KrisFlyer miles for every S$1 equivalent in foreign currency spent overseas on eligible purchases up to S$3,800 each month. On such purchases above S$3,800 each month, you can earn 2 KrisFlyer miles. Furthermore the card allows earnings of 1.3 KrisFlyer miles for every S$1 spent locally in Singapore dollars on eligible purchases up to S$3,800 each month. On such purchases above S$3,800 each month, earnings are 1.4 KrisFlyer miles. Highly recommended for those who seek to accumulate miles.

This card gives me $80 cash rebates every month.

I fancy the OCBC 365 credit because it has cash rebate of $80, but only after you full fill their criteria. They require a minimum spending of $800 per month which in turn earns interest from different spending. This card suits me just fine being that I have broad spending habit and in the process it gives me $80 cash rebates every month. My only dislike is the rebate on the general spending which is 0.3%.

I can enjoy Interest rates starting from 5.80% p.a.

I love that I can enjoy Interest rates starting from 5.80% p.a. (EIR 11.38% p.a.) on their 12-month instalment plan which allows for fixed monthly repayments. The monthly repayment for your Cash-on-Instalments is fixed, allowing you to manage your finances with ease of mind. That works perfect for me as it helps me to be more organized and I give them thumbs up.

Earn up to 1% rebate on your purchase

If you target to spend on major event tickets and high price items with the plan to split by instalment then this card is for you. However I notice that if you have an existing OCBC saving account, it makes bill payments much more seamless. And aside from being able to split payment into monthly instalments interest free, you can earn up to 1% rebate on your purchase. Only few cards in the market that allow auto convert spending into interest free instalment and still be entitled to 0.5% or 1% cash rebate.

OCBC Frank Card offers young adults a great, no-fee way to earn cashback from social and online spend

OCBC Frank Card stands out for its low minimum spend requirement and annual fee waiver however, it’s not a great match for consumers seeking everyday cashback. Online spend on utilities, recurring bills, and school and hospital payments are all not eligible for rebate. Dining, groceries, and other categories are also not rewarded. Ultimately, OCBC Frank Card offers young adults a great, no-fee way to earn cashback from social and online spend. OCBC Frank Card is definitely worth consideration.
