Do I buy my son a car for his eighteenth birthday or invest the money for him?
My first son is turning eighteen in two months, it’s his dream to own a car and I know he expects one for this birthday. But I want to rather invest money for him long term. His mum thinks it will break his heart and I should instead buy the car. Am I making the right choice?
No Name
Without a doubt you are making the right choice. I wish I had an opportunity to invest for my child. Yes he will be thrilled and over the moon by a car gift and you will be his hero for today but an investment made on his behalf will make you his hero for life and will have him love, appreciate and cherishing you. This choice and action you make has the potential to create a trickle-down effect even to your grandchildren’s generation and beyond. Stand your ground sir, it’s the better choice.
