To redeem your reward with the Metro-UOB Card, you will need to present the original redeemed physical Voucher with your authorised signature as proof of eligibility to the participating merchant. For purchases exceeding the value of the Voucher, you will need to charge the balance to the UOB Card. There shall be no refund, in any form whatsoever, if the value of the goods and/or services is below that of the Voucher. But did you know can get to profit from an instant 10% discount off regular-priced items with blue tag at Metro stores everyday with your Metro-UOB Card all year round while also get to enjoy a 5% rebate on all merchandise, including sale items at Metro. This rebate comes in the form of Metro$ where you simply accumulate and exchange your Metro$ for Metro Shoppers Cheques, which you can then use to pay for your next purchase at Metro. Yes as a fact they offer complimentary free delivery services for your purchases when you spend a minimum of S$150 nett at Metro. A minimum spend of S$250 nett is required during Storewide Events however.

OCBC 365 Credit Card / Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation

I fancy the OCBC 365 credit because it has cash rebate of $80, but only after you full fill their criteria. They require a minimum spending of $800 per month which in turn earns interest from different spending. This card suits me just fine being that I have broad spending habit and in the process it gives me $80 cash rebates every month. My only dislike is the rebate on the general spending which is 0.3%.

Close to 6.5% rebates on dining

American Express CapitaCard / American Express International

I have held this card for quite a long time and one thing I like about the card is the fact that it is used for CapitaLand malls and they are almost everywhere. So I enjoy dining taking advantage of the 10x rewards merchants to accumulate the points faster. Imagine getting close to 6.5% rebates on dining. Not to forget their sign up bonus of $60 rebates in vouchers when you spend $1,500. That's a 4% rebate excluding the points you will earn which will convert into vouchers too.

Earn up to 1% rebate on your purchase

OCBC Cashflo Credit Card / Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation

If you target to spend on major event tickets and high price items with the plan to split by instalment then this card is for you. However I notice that if you have an existing OCBC saving account, it makes bill payments much more seamless. And aside from being able to split payment into monthly instalments interest free, you can earn up to 1% rebate on your purchase. Only few cards in the market that allow auto convert spending into interest free instalment and still be entitled to 0.5% or 1% cash rebate.

    Great customer service officers

American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Ascend Credit Card / American Express International

I have had this card for a long while. The good thing with the card is that AMEX have been waiving my annual fees which is probably why I still have the card. The pros with this card include – Great customer service officers that are friendly and will do their best to help you with prompt follow ups, direct credit of miles to your Krisflyer account, many small promos every few months with a fantastic sign up promo, no minimum spending and perfect for concert lovers as AMEX offers priority to provide tickets.
